Croeso and welcome to Shotwick Lake Sailing

Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. We have members from North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both juniors and adults alike.

Leeward Twilight series - race 4

Wednesday evening (July 16th) saw the 4th race in the current Leeward Twilight Series. Our Lightning Duo Jeremy and Mark were putting on some practice before their West Kirby outing and took 1st and 3rd positions, with Shan Stapley spoiling a one-two by sailing her single-handed Mirror into second place. Lightning success

Our two intrepid Lightning sailors, Jeremy Cooper and Mark Heaton, trailed to West Kirby this weekend to take part in the Lightning Open. Mark gained a creditable midfield position after 5 races, and Jeremy placed second overall, with three 2nds, a 4th and 5th place (discarded). Sunday on the Med

Sunday 13th July. Race 5 and 6 of the Summer Series, followed by Race 3 of the Summer Afternoon Persuit Series. On a Sunday that was described by one member as sailing in the Mediterranean and so hot it that melted their socks off, a great days sailing was had by 21 crews out on the lake. Llyn Tegid

It was the turn of Llyn Tegid to host the latest round of the Border Counties Midweek series (held monthly).
